The English Royal Courts: Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philips at Maudry Thursday

Every year on Holy Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II participated on Maundy Service in a religious ceremony during which the monarch distributes Maundy money to seniors. The origin of this sovereign's "charity" dates back to the thirteenth century which takes place the day of the Last Supper, the last meal of Christ with his apostles before his crucifixion. Early in her reign, Elizabeth decided that this service would be celebrated only in London but every year in a different place. And for the vintage 2016 which coincides with the anniversary of 90 years, the British monarch chose the St George chapel in Windsor.
For the occasion, Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by her husband Prince Philip, was displayed in a very spring outfit. She opted for a tweed coat in several shades of blue to turquoise dominant color of her dress and united his hat out of a broadband navy blue lace recalling the braid that ran down his coat.
