The Danish Royal Courts: Princess Marie in Faroe Island

After arriving in Faroe Island the previous day, HRH Princess Marie on her second day attended Faroese public's anniversary conference in Torshavn. She attended the anniversary conference where professors Christopher Gillberg and Thomas Bourgeron spoke about their research in autism, genetics and prevalence among the Faroese population.




During the visit, the Princess Marie met with autistic children. She had quite a shocked when Faroese high school students surprised her by singing the French song 'Aux Champs-Élysées', and then she opened her eyes when the cry 'Vive la France' resounded through Torshavn Gymnasium. Here is the link to the video. During the visit HRH was notified by the media of Crown Princess Victoria giving birth to a son Prince Oscar last Wednesday night she replied saying It is fantastic. In the evening, she attended a gala dinner at the Hotel Hafnia in Torshavn.
