The visit, which took place in the afternoon, had not been announced to the press.

On the short ride, the king who was wearing a black coat, a white shirt and a tie brown tartan plaid, spoke with a passenger before getting off three stops later at the station Maelbeek. Philippe, who was not accompanied by Queen Matilda, then went about the large whiteboard covered with hundreds of messages of tribute to the victims, he has traveled the look before exchanging a few words with a young woman from filing a bouquet of white flowers.

Damaged by the explosion, the station was the last of 69 of the Brussels network to reopen Monday morning.
