The Dutch Royal Courts: Queen Maxima enjoys herself at Nieuwer-Ter-Aa

After attending this March 30th a symposium on music education in primary schools at the Amsterdam Conservatory during the day, Queen Maxima took charge of Nieuwer-Ter-Aa, a Dutch village in the province of Utrecht. The wife of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands wore the same outfit for her first appointment: a gray dress Natan, coordinated her and his shoes, which she had decorated with a collar XXL. Centerpiece of its look, this imposing jewel consisted of five enormous flowers resting on four rows of white pearls.
In her agenda: visiting the "village house My pleasure." Located in the municipality and supported by volunteers, it serves as a link between residents of this small town. Overcoming the loss of services and shops, this meeting place, which further includes a grocery store, a library and a nursery was established in 2010 in order to "take care of each other" and to improve the quality life in the village.
Maxima visited the scene and seemed to enjoy greatly with those present that day, had not come here by chance. The "Village house My pleasure" is one of the winners of Appeltjes van Oranje 2016 "Apples" Oranje Fund, a major advocacy organization sponsored by the King and Queen of the Netherlands. Presented annually, these awards recognize triplicate social initiatives of a grant of EUR 15 000 and a sculpture designed by the former Queen Princess Beatrix.
