Invited by the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg arrived on Tuesday May 10th  in Helsinki, for a three-day state visit. They were accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Etienne Schneider, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn and Minister of the Environment, Carole Dieschbourg and a business delegation.

The program of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg has been essentially marked by political events and economic punctuated the traditional state dinner and evening offered in return by the grand-ducal couple guests.

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, who also laid wreaths at the Hietaniemi cemetery were despite their busy schedule to offer a small walking tour in the center of the Finnish capital.
