Queen Maxima of the Netherlands wanted to know more the Nimegue-Betuwe wind park on Tuesday , a fellow citizens' initiative.
A working visit was on her agenda this Tuesday, January 31st 2017 in the afternoon for Queen Maxima of the Netherlands . The wife of King Willem-Alexander visited the region of Gelderland to discover their program the discovery of wind turbines, the 21st century version of the emblematic Dutch windmills.
For this appointment on the theme of sustainable development, Maxima had opted for a total brown-chocolate look. The 45-year-old woman was wearing a Natan paired a cedar coloured tweed suit with a pair of tanned leather boots which, despite their high heel, she had no problem steering through the mud. Her hair loose, the mother of the little princesses Catharina Amalia, Alexia and Ariane was adorned with ear pendants also in the browns color and a brown clutch from a brand we all know and one held by close friend from Spain Queen Letizia's spanish clutch favorite designer UTERQUE.
The wind turbines that the Queen of the Netherlands visited that day had the peculiarity of being installed as part of citizens' initiative. Just over 1,000 residents of the Nijmegen-Betuwe sector joined a cooperative to acquire wind shares totaling € 2 million. Today's four wind turbine fleet supplies electricity to approximately 7,100 households. Maxima had this pilot project detailed and did not hesitate to face muddy soils to be able to climb inside one of the masts.
