This February 1st, the Crown Princess has put words into practice. She went in Slagelse, a town situated a hundred kilometers south-west of Copenhagen, to meet people suffering from loneliness benefiting from Vaerket project, set up by Mary Fonden together with the Danish Red Cross. This is well presented on the website of the foundation of Mary: "People who lack contact with other people can register for a network group in a local unit of the Red Cross where they will have the opportunity to participate in social activities and strengthen their personal network. "

During the morning of January 29, 2016, she attended Women's Board Award ceremony 2016 at the Deloittehuset in Copenhagen, Denmark. In the evening Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner for naval officers at the Fredensborg Palace in Copenhagen. Rear Admiral of the Navy, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the gala dinner with high-ranking officers at the Fredensborg Palace. For the occasion the Crown Princess work an Alexander McQueen Purple Jersey Gown, Prada Black Satin Box Clutch
She also attended the New Year Reception organized by Women Deliver Committee at Copenhagen Eigtveds Pakhus Conference Center on January 28th. (Women Deliver Committee is a global defender of health and rights of girls and women. For this purpose, it engages in activities in the four corners of the world in order to enhance the welfare of girls and women.)
