The Swedish Royal Courts: King Gustaf on a working visit to Japan

From Tuesday, February 16th to 19th  His Majesty King participates in the 23rd Royal Technology Mission (RTM), an international delegation traveling with a focus on technology, science and business. This year's trip to Japan and brings together 29 representatives from industry and government. The delegation headed by IVA's Chairman Leif Johansson.
Tuesday, February 16 
After that the delegation landed in Tokyo visited the TV Tower Sky Treeexternal link. Delegates learned about the technology that has made ​​it possible to build so high in such an earthquake-prone area of Tokyo.

During the afternoon, Business Sweden gave in Tokyo a presentation of the country.
In the evening there was a dinner hosted by Sweden's ambassador to Japan, Magnus Robach.

Wednesday, February 17 
Second day in Tokyo started with a business visit to Hitachi. The delegation got an insight into different business, technology and policy challenges. Then visited Tokyo University, opens in new window . The theme was energy in Japan after Fukushima - technologies and cooperation and research and innovation - incubators, commercialization and partnerships.

Thursday, February 18
The third day began in the large science and technology museum Miraikan. The delegation was taking part of exhibitions on the theme of robotics and space. The museum's aim is to share the most innovative scientific and technological progress and work closely with researchers to produce exhibitions, seminars and workshops.
During the afternoon, there were two company visits. The first of FujiFilm where the topic was to go from film to an innovative high-tech businesses and future growth markets.

They then visited the Canon where the delegation had to hear about the company's efforts to develop new business and future growth markets.

The evening ended with rTMS official dinner with invited guests.
