The Belgian Royal Courts: Queen Mathilde at the Design Derby

Wednesday, Queen Mathilde of Belgium was in Ghent. In this Flemish city, the Queen of the Belgians visited the exhibition "Design Derby: Netherlands-Belgium (1815-2015)".
Just six months ago, on June 19, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands inaugurated at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, "Design Derby: Netherlands-Belgium (1815-2015)". Presenting, as its name suggests, the Dutch and Belgian design of the last two centuries, this exhibition has logically pursued in Belgium. Hosted at the Design museum Gent in Ghent, it opened last October 23 and runs until March 13.
Unlike her Dutch counterpart, Queen Mathilde was not there to cut the ribbon at its opening, she was offered a visit in the company of local elected officials, this December 15th. had chosen to wear for this cultural outing a very graphic floral DRIES VAN NOTEN dress several shades of blue. She had accompanied pumps and a blue pouch and also of earrings in white pearls. Thus dressed, viewed the rooms where are exposed more than 500 carefully selected objects of the Empire to the present day, looking equally interested in an empire style gold box topped by a crown by a Wall contemporary drawings.
