On Thursday, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands while in Amsterdam was expected as part of the prestigious Prix de Rome. And in an arty, graphic look of fact that the wife of King Willem-Alexander appeared.
Her Majesty dress to fit the event this December 17, to attend the presentation of the Prix de Rome, a prestigious art prize, Maxima has opted for a graphical dress composed of geometric blocks of different colors arranged symmetrically on the front. Combining red, blue and yellow to black, dark blue and dark brown, this piece was signed by Spijkers Spijkers, a Dutch brand founded by two twin sisters and known for its graphic details and wide range of colors.
Having chosen this outfit, she had completed opaque black shoes by CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN, a Carlend Copenhagen, gloves and a small tambourine hat worn on the back of his head, all black, the Queen of the Netherlands certainly threw a nod to the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. A pioneer of geometric abstraction, it is famous for using his compositions invariably, of a set of horizontal and vertical lines, the three primary colors and the three non-colors white, black and gray. Especially since 2013, the Mondriaan Fund, which organizes this award in Rome. Oldest award in the Netherlands for artists aged under 40 -it was founded in 1808 by Prince Louis Napoleon, brother of Napoleon I and Napoleon III's father, who was king of Holland from 1806 to 1810 - it comes with 40,000 euros and an artistic residency at the American Academy in Rome. Three visual artists and a group of artists were nominated for the award.
