Born Lisa Najeeb Halaby in Washington D.C on the 23 August 1951 to an Arab American father and a mother of Swedish Heritage. She is the fourth wife to the late King Hussein, mother to his twelve kids which includes current King Abdullah.

Upon her marriage in 1978 in Amman in a muslim traditional she converted to Islam.

HM Queen Noor has been active in political issues and continues to work with various international organisation including King Hussein Foundation
