It was without her Prince Consort that Queen Margrethe II of Denmark took part on Tuesday in the traditional New Year Diplomatic reception held at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen in the company of their eldest son Crown Prince Frederik and daughter-in-law Crown Princess Mary.

Since Her Majesty's announcement that Prince Henrik is taking a step back from the public appearance. It was therefore logically not present this January 5 for the annual ceremony during which the sovereign receives the diplomatic corps, ambassadors and other distinguished guests. For the occasion, she had taken the outfit she usually wears on this occasion: her long blue dress night brocade collar and brown fur cuffs.

If last year's Crown Princess Mary had opted for the same color, in 2016 the young woman of 44 years chose to wear a white BIRGIT HALLSTEIN dress emphasized waist with a thin pink belt. She had thrown on her shoulders a gray-beige JOSEPH coat, Gianvito Rossi pumps, and Narlendi Copenhangen and her hair loose, was adorned with a pearl necklace.
