First official meeting of 2016 for Queen Mathilde of Belgium: the New Year reception for diplomats given that January 7 at the Royal Palace in Brussels, she attended alongside her husband, the King Philippe of the Belgians. His Majesty had receive a couple of government officials for official private audiences

HM The Queen Matilda royal activities resumed in early January, but one day after another. It is indeed on Thursday that the Queen of the Belgians appeared to receive with King Philippe the different heads of diplomatic missions and their spouses accredited to Brussels. For the occasion the queen was displayed in a two-tone black & white look. She was wearing a printed white dress with a black pattern and arty decorated with a big bow on the left shoulder, signed Natan, and was adorned with earrings in white pearls, had associated with black pumps.

The photographs immortalising the event show Mathilde of Belgium very smiling as she receives the Ambassador of Benin Charles Borromeo Todjinou and those of Brunei Dato Paduka Haji Serbini Bin Ali and Manjeev Singh Puri of India, or the ambassador of Denmark Louise Bang Jespersen and the Miguelina Goicochea Estenoz Norma Cuba.
