The Belgian Royal Court: THE Belgian QUEEN more elegant than ever

Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were at a literary prize in Brussels on Thursday October 8th . King Philippe awarded the Royal Palace of Dutch Literature Prize to the poet, columnist and author of short stories and novels Remco Campert, born in The Hague 86 years ago.This award is the most prestigious literary prize for Dutch-speaking countries. It is awarded every three years to an author whose work represents an important contribution to Dutch literature by the Nederlandse Taalunie (the Dutch Language Union), an institution created in 1980 to discuss issues relating to this tongue between the three members: the Netherlands, Belgian Flanders and Surinam. It is awarded alternately by the King of Belgium and the King of the Netherlands.
