The Dutch Royal Courts: A Busy Agenda for Her Majesty

Thursday, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands had two appointments in her agenda in Amsterdam. One of them was driving with her husband King Willem-Alexander, the meeting of the European Commission, visiting the Netherlands.
If the Queen of the Netherlands is back this Wednesday in solo after the truce of Christmas holidays, for an award at the Keukenhof in Lisse, the largest spring garden in the world, January 7 she assured her first engament with her husband for the year 2016 was indeed Maxima alongside Willem-Alexander in early afternoon at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam to receive the members of the European Commission headed by Luxembourg Claude Juncker. They had previously visited the Maritime Museum for a meeting with the Dutch government, the Netherlands since January 1, ensuring the presidency of the European Union for six months. After the welcome by the royal couple, they met with both houses of Parliament.
For the occasion, Queen Maxima was displayed in a two-tone look. The mother of little princesses Catharina Amalia, Alexia and Ariane had illuminated her full skirt and beige coat with a marsala top, to match her bag and her shoes. The young woman of 44, who had left her hair down, wore the same look at the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam. There took place also on Thursday in his presence the signing of a loan of 100 million euros from the European Investment Bank Qredits, a Dutch microfinance structure. Besides her special representative function of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for inclusive finance, Maxima is a member of the Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship and financing.
