Tea time with the ladies at the Women Institute

Smiling and in good health this Thursday January 19th Queen Elizabeth II put a smile those who were still worried about her state of health after her "big cold" late last year. With two public appearances mostly to attend Mass on two consecutive Sundays, the 90-year-old sovereign asumed her first official appointment of 2017. Having done this yearly, this annual engagement is attended whenever she stays at her Sandringham Castle in Norfolk, She attended the local chapter of WI meeting, the British Women's Institute, of which she has been a member since 1943.

Her Majesty always a fan of bright colors, was wearing a bright fuchsia-colored coat on a dress combining the tone of pink with red, and was welcomed by the chapter's vice-president in the area Of Sandringham. She then joined the other members to listen to a lecture accompanied by tea and cupcakes.

The WI was created in 1915 in the First World War. It was originally intended to revitalize rural communities and encourage women to become involved in food production. With 212,000 members in 6,300 clubs, it is the largest women's organization in the UK.

Opening of a Performance Centres then a new community centre for the Earl of Wessex

On Tuesday January 17th, The Earl of Wessex was opening two different centres officially launching his first official solo works of 2017.

The first opening happened when the Earl visited Luckley House in Berkshire(Home to the Duchess of Cambridge and the Middletons) to officially open the 174 proffesional seats WhittyTheatre, part of the school’s new Performing Arts Centre
His Royal Highness, the youngest son of Queen Elisabeth II and Prince Philipps had the occasion to listen to the school choir perform in the new inaugurated theatre

After Berkshire, Prince Edward travelled to Maidenheard to inaugurate the local Synagogue's new community centre.
On his program includes: a meeting with lunch co-ordinators who provide lunches for the elderly and homeless


The Fairy Godmother Duchess of Cornwall and her visit to Scotland

Earlier today the Duchess of Cornwall was at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. The wife of Prince Charles also known as Duchess of Rothesay whilst Scotland was at the campus to open their newest Rowett building in her capacity as Chancellor.

The building which holds the pioneering Institute of Nutrition and Health and saw her engaging in talks with faculty members as well as students. Also on campus, she attended a reception in support of OsteoporosisSoc and ArthritisRUK as she is patron of both association.




Monday January 16th


She was easily facially recognized, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall was part virtually in a video posted on Monday January 16th 2017 by BBC Radio 2. Her character appears at the 7th second of the animation clip of barely less than 'one minute. And appears is the term to use. Like a fairy, the Duchess of Cornwall materializes magically, with a dust of stars.
The scene takes place in a street lined with houses. At the window of one of them, a little boy seems to be bored. But fortunately the duchess comes to his rescue and, as a fairy, she sends him the bird she holds on her fist, a red and yellow owl wearing a very British bowler hat. Which will lead the child into a world of adventures populated by boats of pirates, dragons, rockets, ogres, super heroes or gingerbread man.

The presence of the step-mother of Princes William and Harry in this short film is not trivial. The objective is to launch in a fun way the annual writing competition for children aged 5 to 13 organized by British radio BBC Radio 2 and named "500 words" ("500 words"), the maximum size of The work of fiction which they must compose. At a conference at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Princes William, Harry and Duchess Catherine defended "Heads Together," a collective of associations whose three crowned heads were originally in sight of the London Marathon.

"Heads Together" is the charity supported this year by the London Marathon in the heart of the British capital. On this occasion, The Duke, Duchess and Prince Harry presented their initiatives to leaders of the whole of British society, media companies or new technology, through the business community and the voluntary sector, to rally them to their project .

"Heads Together" is a federation of eight mental health charities, launched in March by William, Catherine and Harry, to share efforts to encourage people to talk openly about their mental health problems and search for help. For this occarsion, the Duchess debuted a new dress by one of her favorite Canadian fashion designer's, Erdem 'Evita' black lily collage dress, accessorized with her cranberry suede Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch bag and burgundy Tod's fringed leather pumps, completed the look with her Oscar de la Renta hammered gold-plated faux pearl earrings
This new association is part of the Duchess of Cambridge's long work to raise awareness of mental distress. Catherine was already the godmother of one of the eight associations, Place2Be, which accompanies more than 75,000 children victims of psychological problems in school.

Her first engagement with the Anne Freud Centre's early year parenting Unit then later with Prince William for th

For her first engagement of the year, H.R.H The Duchess of Cambridge patron of the Anne Freud Centre for children and Families paid a visit to the early year parenting unit to have more information about their work with families who have toddlers.

This engagement is part of The Duchess works to have an open dialogue and draw attention on children mental health issues and its importance for early intervention by families and those in vulnerable situation.

Among many things the Duchess did, she met with parents who have completed the training program, hearing their experiences on how the program change their lives and the time they spent, met with other families taking part in a theralplay session(which promotes the attachment relationship between parents and children). The Duchess arrived in a new cobalt blue belted double wool crepe coat dress by Eponine from their AW 16. The £1,650 piece features three quarter length sleeves, a collar with notch cut outs, a slender matching belt and wide pleats in the back. Accessorized with her trusty navy suede accessories which included her Stuart Weitzman 'Muse' clutch and Rupert Sanderson 'Malory' Navy Suede Pumps, her beloved Sapphire & Diamond Oval Drop Earrings and Ballon Bleu de Cartier Stainless Steel Bracelet watch.

Later, she met with her husband the Duke of Cambridge at the Child Bereavement UK centre in Stratford as the centre marked its first anniversary.

For her first engagement, The Countess of Wessex meets with the Fifth Rifle

For her first engagement of the year H.R.H the Countess of Wessex in a her capacity to Royal Colonel of the 5th Battalion The Rifles at the Ward Barracks, Bulford.

She became Royal Colonel of 5 Rifles after the Infantry's reorganisation paid them a visit on January 11th following their return from Germany.
During her visit, she visited Kiwi Primary School which is on the base and spoke with their young students
She visited the Mess(a place where families on the base come together to discuss and meet up) and discuss with the families as well as carried the little ones

After that she took a tour of some of the equipment which is used by the officers.

Mike and Zara Tindalls attended the Magic Millions Polo 2017 Charity Party

This may not be their first outing since announcing the miscarriage of their second child  at the end of 2016 for they were seen a couple of days at the Magic Millions Polo on Sunday with Zara seen mounting her horse to participate.
The parents of a sweet two year old Mia, the 35 year old grandaughter of the Queen Zara Philips and her husband Mike Tindall were seen on the red carpet this evening and led the stylish arrivals at the Magic Millions launch party in Queensland's Surfers Paradise, Australia.

Zara is the ambassador of the racehorse auction house who dress in a navy Jayson Brundson embellished half sleeve midi dress frock with jewelled detailing accessorised with a delicate drop earrings and black pointed-toe heels. Her blonde locks into an elegant style and a glossy nude lip.

Sunday Service at Sandringham attended by a well rest Queen Elisabeth

The British citizens and the world who were worried about the health of their queen can be reassured. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II looked well rested and cured from her "big cold", or at least sufficiently fit to get out. The 90 year old sovereign, visited took part at this Sunday, January 8th 2017 service celebrated at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. Suffering from a cold she had missed the annual Christmas service, and then a week later that of January 1st, staying warm in her Sandringham castle, her home in Norfolk where she traditionally spends the Christmas and New Year holidays with the rest of the family.

For this first appearance in public for a month, Elizabeth had chosen to dress a blue coat king on a dress of the same tone and had a coat hat decorated with a large blue and black feather by her designer Angela King. She was accompanied by her husband Prince Philip, but also their grandson Prince William came with his wife the Duchess of Cambridge. The Princely couple resided with their two children, Prince George and Little Princess Charlotte, in the neighboring manor house of Anmer Hall.

The duchess appeared in her forest green Sportmax coat belted at the waist first seen on Christmas Day 2015 and again last February for a day of engagements in Scotland. She accessories with a new Cossack style hat, carbon colorway Emmy London ‘Valerie’ heels, an unidentified printed scarf. The   young woman, who was celebrating her 35th birthday the next day, had her whole family around her.

 The whole Middleton had been invited to attend this service in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II. And this year Carole and Michael Middleton, the parents of  Duchess Catherine, and James and Pippa, her brother and sister, were accompanied by a newcomer James Matthews, the fiance of Pippa-who will be getting married on May 20th-had been invited too.

A little news from our lovely Queen Elisabeth II

It is not known whether she will attend this Sunday January 8th Mass at Sandringham. But Queen Elizabeth II has indeed resumed her activities in early 2017.

Queen Elizabeth II has not pointed the tip of her nose outside for several weeks now. Haven't caught a big cold which has prevented her from attending her annual Christmas service with the rest of the royal family celebrated at St Mary Magdalene Church. A week later, not yet feeling well, she also missed the new year service.  And many people are wondering if she will be present for this Sunday, January 8th 2017? We'll have to wait until then to find out.

However, the 90 old sovereign seems to be feeling much better. A few days ago a source close to the Palace had assured that she was back "on her feet" and has been up to date on current affairs. The contents of her red boxes, her famous red boxes marked ER (Elizabeth Regina) containing the various official documents transmitted to her by the government and her representations in the Commonwealth.

This resumption of activity was confirmed at the beginning of the week. The British press reported that the Palace had revealed that on Tuesday, January 3, Elizabeth II presented a "Queen's Page of the Chambers" award to one of its staff. She made him lieutenant of the Royal Order of Victoria.

On the same day, the monarch sent a message of condolence to Recep Erdogan, the President of Turkey, following the bombing in Istanbul on New Year's Day and killed 39 people. She said that Prince Philip, her husband, had been saddened to learn of this terrible attack, adding, "Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and the wounded and with the Turkish people."

MR's British & Canadian Courts: When Her Majesty speaks in French

While being in the warmth and comfort of her duvet at Sandringham castle in Norfolk where she is recovering from a "big cold", Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was no less present on social networks. After her annual traditional Christmas message, Buckingham Palace broadcast this New Years Day on their official Facebook page and the official Twitter account, a video of greetings for the new year. In this short film of nearly two minutes, the Sovereign addresses her message exclusively to Canadians on the occasion of the starting of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Canadian Confederation which will be celebrated althrough out 2017. If the monarch begins and finishes her speech in English, A few sentences were said in a perfect French accented with a slight accent. And I most say I detect a very good French Canadian accent


No doubt this message was recorded on the same day as that of the Christmas message when Queen Elizabeth II paid tribute to the "ordinary heroes." In the same setting at the Regency Room in Buckingham Palace decorated with a Christmas tree and white and red bouquets - the 90 year old Monarch wore the same turquoise blue dress.



Her Majesty appeared with the same white pearl necklace. However, she changed her brooch to that of the Maple Leaf Crystal. A delicate gesture towards Canadians as the Maple Leaf is their national leaf and emblem



This jewel, which was recently seen on the Duchess of Cambridge, was adorned three times during The Cambridges visit to Canada last fall with her husband Prince William and their two children,  is dated back to 1939 a gift given by King George VI  to his wife the queen consort Elizabeth as a prelude to their journey to Canada, the first of a British sovereign to his Canada subjects

The British Royal Courts: Invictus recaps *May 8th-11th *Missing post

When Prince Harry was offered orange shoes by the Dutch team, he had the shoes immediately. When a 7 year old child who lost a leg came to see him, he held him tightly in his arms. When the British paracyclist team member Jaco van Gass, winner of the cycling road race was held near him, he mimed biting into his gold medal. Surely, the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana now an Army Officier lived the 2nd edition of its Invictus Games with all the informality, kindness and generosity that characterizes it.
