For many children living in the slum, the Duchess gave her all today. During a cricket match organized Sunday in Bombay for the visit of the royal couple, Catherine of Cambridge hit the ball with enthusiasm, like her husband, Prince William.
The children invited to come play with The Duke and Duchess have discovered with rapture the talents of this royal duo, who begins their first trip to India. They met with Sachin Tendulkar, the cricket Zidane, who welcomed the couple on the ground of the legendary Oval Maidan. During the game the couple then got competitive and played a game of cricket with underprivileged children from the nearby slums.
After showing their skill at cricket, they had followed with their talents as footballers. Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton was born in effect kicking the football during a meeting with the poor children in the slums of Mumbai, Sunday, April 10.
Catherrine wore a breezy Mughal coral and aqua patterned dress inspired tunic from Mumbai local designer Anita Dongre. Showcasing Indian aesthetics with a modern sensibility. It is a bespoke piece based on a design from Dongre's Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Dress with a new pair of Monsoon 'Fleur' taupe suede espadrilles, she also debuted with a Bohemian style earrings from Monsoon Accessorize. These short-drop filigree earrings are beautifully detailed, and embellished with faceted beads and small, beaten coins, she wore her Ray-Ban folding wayfarers sunglasses - and William went to the Hindu site Banganga Tank, where they were welcomed by representatives of the SMILE Association, which supports local companies in this disadvantaged area of the financial capital of India. The Cambridge were greeted with garlands of flowers, and then played football with poor slum children.
Earlier, the pair had honored the victims of the Mumbai attacks in November 2008, by depositing a wreath at the Taj Hotel. It is here that Kate and William attend Sunday night at a glamorous charity dinner with Bollywood stars to raise money for the associations met in the afternoon.
The trip continues on Monday in New Delhi, then on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, where they will meet rural communities, before traveling to Bhutan two days, and again in India on April 16 to see the Taj Mahal, before returning to the UK.
