The Royal Courts History: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth unknown Heirs to the British Throne "Norway"

We all know the top 20 heirs to the British Empire Throne which includes most of Her Majesty the Queen's children, grand children and great-grand children. But what we may not know is that Royal Family in other European Countries are also in line to the throne.

The British Empire Throne is one of the longest ever throne with a quite a number of heirs.
To mark Her Majesty reigning this upcoming Wednesday I will be doing a history of other European past and present Monarchs family History.

Norway:
I started Up North in Norway.
Did you know that Both His Majesty King Harold and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth are relatives?

Well yeah HM Majesty and His Majesty King Harold are actually cousins it all began back in the...

19 Centuries, Their Majesties are actually descendants of Queen Victoria and King Christian IX King of Denmark(yep somehow this was meant to be). Queen Victoria's Prince Edward VII was in an arrange marriage with King Christian IX's daughter Princess Alexandra of Denmark.

Actually wait let's go through how related and unrelated the 3 Monarch are too each of their Late ancestors. Harald V of Norway is actually descended from Christian IX three ways, twice through his father and once through his mother. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and his wife Elizabeth II are second cousins once removed through Christian IX and also third cousins as they are both great-great-grandchildren of Queen Victoria. Well hope you got that now... back to the arrange marriage

Like back in those days many Monarchs are arranged marriage as way for popularity contest and Her Majesty Queen Victoria did the same.

This Marriage between both Prince Edward VII of England and Princess Alexandra of Denmark bore fruits to two children Prince Edward V and Princess Maud of Wales.

How it came to the Norwegian side well this is going to be an interesting storyline.

Marriages:
Princess Maud of Wales is actually King Harald V of Norway's great grandmother and Queen Elizabeth's great grand aunt.

Princess Maud of Wales became Queen of Norway and the first not to become Queen of Denmark and Sweden after a marriage to King Haakon VII Before the marriage, King Haakon VII of Norway while Norway was a part on Denmark and Sweden till 1893, was known as Prince Carl Johan son of Crown Prince Fredrick of Denmark eldest son to King Christian IX and brother to Queen Alexandra of England.

So technically Princess Maud of Wales and Prince Carl John (King Haakon VII on Norway) was cousin through their parents Queen Alexandra(Princess Maude's mom) and Crown Prince Fredrick of Denmark (King Haakon of Norway's father.

After Norway's separation from Denmark and Sweden, Prince Carl and Princess Maud were sworn in as the new reigning monarch of Norway as King Haakon VII and Queen Maud of Norway and their son's name Prince Alexandra also changed to Prince Olav (present King's father).

Whilst Queen Maud of Norway was taking charge and helping her husband rule Norway, her brother Prince Albert Edward V Prince of Wales who then became King George V after taking over the throne. King George V got married to Mary of Tuck, fiance of his late elder brother and heir to the thrown Prince Albert Victor (who passed away because of pneumonia). This union bore six children one of them being Queen Elizabeth II's late father King George VI.
