The Jordanian Royal Courts: Her advocacy for Syrian Refugees with Crown Prince Hussein

Queen Rania of Jordan was in Washington last week to plead the cause of Syrian refugees once more. And during this trip her son Crown Prince Hussein met her on the second day.
Two separate appointments, all pertaining to the same cause. That of Syrian refugees. Queen Rania of Jordan had once again taken her advocacy's staff  for these displaced populations and neighboring countries. It was the capital of the United States that this occured on  April 14th and 15th .

On Thursday, Her Majesty was at Georgetown University in a Azzedine Alaia poplin shirt, leather laser cut waist belt also by Alaia and a Proenza Schouler Pre Fall 2016 knit skirt. Accessorizes by  Jennifer Meyer Pyramid Pendant Necklace, it was expressed in the context of the documentary "Salam Neighbor". Directed by filmmakers Zach Ingrasci and Chris Temple who spent a month immersion in the Jordanian camp of Zaatari -the second largest refugee camp in the world, after that of Dadaab, Kenya-this film testifies to their daily struggles survival of people living there.


The next day, still in Washington, Queen Rania delivered a speech at  World Bank session entitled "Forced displacement: a challenge of global development." The young 45 year old woman spoke to an audience of 500 people, made up of senior representatives and officials of nongovernmental organizations, stressing the urgent need for a more sustainable humanitarian response to the global refugee crisis .

Rania, who was wearing a very original Bottega Veneta Spring 2016 dress, was joined by her son Crown Prince Hussein who is studying international history at the American University of Georgetown.

The Jordanian Royal Courts: Preparations for Amman Design Week

In September, the heart of the capital of the kingdom of Jordan will dance for a week to the rhythm of design. Queen Rania supports this new event, simply known as Amman Design Week, which aims to become an annual event. On March 30th, she came to check on the progress of this project and in particular the places where it will be deployed.

The Jordanian Royal Courts: Visit from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon

Once again the crisis of Syrian refugees, so close to her heart, was on top of er planning of Queen Rania. The sovereign couple received this March 27th at the Royal Palace in Amman, Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-moon who is currently visiting the Middle East in connection with this problematic.

Rania, of course, attended the meeting between King Abdullah and Ban Ki-moon. The latter in particular thanked Jordan of host Syrians who have fled the ongoing violence in their country. "Ban Ki-moon expressed hope that a new financial initiative by the UN and the World Bank will help Jordan to create development opportunities for its current challenges. The two leaders also discussed the peace process in the Middle East and the importance that the Israelis and Palestinians back to the negotiating table, "reported" United Nations Radio ", the international broadcasting service of the United Nations .

 Early in the day, Her Majesty received in audience Turkish Prime Minister’s wife Mrs. Sare Davutoglu at the Royal Palace . During the meeting, Queen Rania and Mrs. Davutoglu discussed a number of matters and areas of mutual interest, including issues of particular importance to Her Majesty, such as education advancement, child rights, and community empowerment in Jordan.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan which was celebrated on Monday March 21st 2016, Queen Rania visited children who currently reside at Dar Al Aman, The Jordan River Foundation’s (JRF) Child Safety Center. The center was established in 2000 to temporarily provide protection for child victims of abuse. School-aged children are usually enrolled at public schools near the center, and those under the age of six benefit from specialized early childhood development programs at the center.

This Wednesday March 23rd, Queen Rania of Jordan headed for the border town of Ramtha, in the extreme northwest of the country, to meet with refugees and officials of charities. Her trip included the visit of Protection Center and empowerment of women which deals with emergency situations of gender violence suffered by the Syrian refugees, as well as a health clinic, both run by the International Rescue Committee ( IRC).

Queen of Jordan has also talked with the leaders of five Jordanian charitable organizations working in the region to support local residents. Which are facing this population intake hanging over their infrastructure (nearly a third of the inhabitants of Ramtha are currently Syrian refugees) and unemployment caused by the removal of borders and free trade with neighboring Syria.

The previous day, the Syrian crisis for which she is very involved was already Queen Rania program. The latter was indeed this Tuesday, March 22 alongside her husband King Abdullah II of Jordan at Al Husseiniya palace in Amman, while the latter was holding a meeting with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and security policy (the head of European diplomacy) Federica Mogherini. The Jordanian Royal Courts: Queen Rania on Women Day

A long advocate committed to Women rights, Queen Rania of Jordan has not failed to mark on Tuesday the International Day of Women's Rights. She met with Jordanian female leaders.

On March 8th, Rania had arranged a meeting in Amman with over one hundred influential Jordanian and members of the local Women's World network IWF (International Women's Forum). Queen of Jordan, who spoke at the meeting, concluded it by saying "women should not feel discouraged to pursue their dreams, even if they fail to meet certain challenges," said in a communicate. Which adds that "urged them not to lose faith" and "describes the failure as an opportunity to learn and grow. It also called on the participants to use their leadership positions to help other women and expanding the local network IWF.À


For the occasion, Rania had chosen to dresse in such a casual chic look that. His hair falling loose over her shoulders, the Queen of Jordan wore a white coat at the waist by a wide black belt. She was carrying a small black waistcoat and trousers mauve.

The Jordanian Royal Courts: Queen Rania visits Hashemite University

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah launched the Hashemite University’s nursery on Wednesday, and toured several other facilities on campus that reflect the university’s commitment to social progress and innovation.

For the visit, Queen Rania went with a retro look with Chloé plaid flared trousers belted with a green belt, green embroidered shit, white jacket stopped by Shoman Social Work Library and spoke with students involved in extracurricular activities. She said the Hashemite University is a role model to look up to, hoping other institutions would follow suit and adopt creative ways to advance their education programs.  She also visited The Clinical Skills Education and Testing Center (CSETC). The center’s manager, Dr. Ayman Al Sharaa, briefed Her Majesty in the presence of medical students on the High-Fidelity Manikin, which is an advanced human patient simulator.

She recognized the university as a pioneer in creating an environment that supports innovation despite its lack of resources and the challenging times. And later commended the institution’s strong management, faculty and student body on their commitment to education, and described it as one that will go down in history.

Her Majesty also visited the Princess Iman Bint Abdullah II Family and Childhood Library, where she explored the Childhood Education and Special Education Divisions and programs at the Queen Rania Faculty for Childhood.

At the end of her visit, Professor Kamal Bani Hani presented Her Majesty with a plaque honoring her support for education and innovation.
