Prince Louis and Princess Tessy of Luxemborg are getting a divorce

"Prince Louis and Princess Tessy have decided to divorce," an announcement the Grand Duke of Luxembourg issued in a statement on Wednesday evening.

Sad news coming out of Luxembourg. In a statement issued on Wednesday evening, January 18th, the Grand Ducal Court announced the divorce between Prince Louis and his wife Tessy. "Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess regret to announce that Prince Louis and Princess Tessy have decided to divorce," says the message from the palace. "Under these painful circumstances, they count on the understanding of all to respect the private sphere of the couple and their children."

Prince Louis born on August 3rd 1986 is the third son of the Grand Duke Henry and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, behind Prince William and Prince Felix. BLouis is Prince of Luxembourg, Prince of Bourbon-Parme and Prince of Nassau.

On 29 September 2006, Louis married Tessy Antony who was born on 28 October 1985. Engaged in the Luxembourg Army, she participated as a transport vehicle driver in the United Nations operation in Kosovo. It was during a visit of the troops to the Luxembourg that the prince met his future wife.

At the time of their marriage, the couple had already given birth to their first child Gabriel who was born on  March 28th 2006 in Geneva, Switzerland. He is the first grandchild of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. The couple had a second son, Noah, born on September 21st 2007.

For his marriage with Tessy, Louis had abandoned his place in the order of succession to the throne. On the occasion of the national holiday of 2009, Tessy and the two boys received the titles of princess and princes by the Grand-Duke Henri. Louis and Tessy, married and parents at 20 years, have continued brilliant studies - in communication, she in international relations. The family lived in London.

The Luxembourg Royal Courts: The Grand Ducale Family supports learning disabilities

The Luxembourgian Grand Ducal Family was out on January 30th to support and attend the Grand Duchy's first International forum on learning disorders, launched by H.R.H Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa which, among other which focuses on ways to integrate students/children with learning disorders into the mainstream educational system. The topic is close to the family’s heart as Prince Louis was diagnosed with dyslexia at the young age of ten. and spoke about his experiences during the forum.

He was supported at the event by his parents Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, his wife Princess Tessy as well as Prince Sébastien. Also present for the event was Princess Margaretha(sister to the Grand Duke) and also patron of Dyslexia International for many years. The forum was also attended, among others, by Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan of Jordan, (daughter of the former crown prince), and Formula 1 world champion Sir Jackie Stewart.

La Cour Grande Ducale Luxembourgeois: La Famille Grande Ducale au Forume International sur le trouble d'apprentissage

La famille grand-ducale Luxembourgeois était venu le 30 Janvier pour soutenir et participer aux premièr forum international du Grand-Duché sur les troubles d'apprentissage, lancé par SAR la Grande-Duchesse Maria-Teresa qui, entre autres, qui se concentre sur les moyens d'intégrer les étudiants / enfants ayant des troubles d'apprentissage dans le système éducatif traditionnel. Le sujet est proche du cœur de la famille comme le prince Louis a été diagnostiqué avec la dyslexie à l'âge de dix ans et a parlé de ses expériences pendant le forum.

Il a été soutenu lors de l'événement par ses parents Grand-Duc Henri et la Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa, Grand-Duc héritier Prince Guillaume et héréditaire Grande-Duchesse Princesse Stéphanie, son épouse la princesse Tessy ainsi que son petit frere le prince Sébastien. présente pour l'événement, était également Princesse Margaretha (sœur du grand-duc) et également patron de Dyslexia International depuis de nombreuses années. Le forum a été également assisté, entre autres, par la princesse Sumaya Bint El Hassan de Jordanie, (fille de l'ancien prince héritier), et la Formule 1 champion du monde Sir Jackie Stewart.

La Cour Royale du Luxembourg: Une Journee dans La famille Grand Ducale

Le 22 Septembre 2015, Son Altesse Royale le Grand-Duc Henri a reçu en audience au Grand Palais Ducale, le Premier Ministre du Royaume du Bhoutan S.E Mr. Tshering Tobgay













Le même jour, Leurs Altesses Royales le Prince Louis et la Princesse Tessy , accompagnés de leurs fils TRH prince Gabriel et le Prince Noah, ont assisté à un événement privé sur l'aviation, organisé par le Cercle de vol à voile de Luxembourg Useldange aérodrome.

Depuis Juin 2011, SAR le Prince Louis assumé le rôle de patron de la Fédération Luxembourgeoise d'aéronautique.














Son Altesse Royale le Grand-Duc accompagné par le Premier ministre, M. François Bausch, ministre du Développement durable et des Infrastructures, M. Claude Meisch, ministre de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, et Marc Hansen, secrétaire d'État de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche; assiste à l'ouverture de la Maison du savoir, de la Maison des sciences humaines et de la Maison de l'innovation.














Le mercredi 23 Septembre, Son Altesse Royale le Grand-Duc a reçu en audience au Palais grand-ducal Ingrid Betancourt dans le cadre de sa visite au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.

Since June 2011, HRH Prince Louis assumed the role of patron of the  Luxembourgeoise Aéronautic Federation.
