The Swedish Royal Courts: Guess The Sovereign Heads in Sweden

Dressed in evening dresses for ladies, tuxedos for the gentlemen, they are aligned in the main staircase. Each in his place, according to the protocol. Either from left to right: Thomas and Ralf de Toledo Sommerlath -the nephew and the elder brother of the Queen Silvia-the Consul General Tord Magnuson -l'époux Christina- of the princess, the other three sisters princesses Birgitta and Desiree, and the husband of the latter Baron Niclas Silfverschiöld. The group photo is dominated by the parents of spouses of Victoria princesses and Madeleine and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden Ewa and Olle Westling, the parents of Prince Consort Daniel, Mary and Erik Hellqvist, those of Sofia Princess and Eva Maria O'Neill, Christopher's mother.

King Harald V of Norway and Queen Sonja were to participate in this birthday dinner as well as their son Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Mette-Marit Princess. The Swedish Royal Courts: A break from the babies for new dads Princes Daniel and Carl-Philip

Tuesday evening, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden was in the spotlight ahead of his 70th anniversary of 70 years. Besides his wife Queen Silvia, he could count on the presence at his side of the Princes Carl Philip and Daniel came solo.

This Saturday April 30th, 2016, the King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf turns 70. But the Swedes did not wait for the big day to celebrate the 70th anniversary of their sovereign. The festivities have already begun. Thus, this Monday, April 25, an event was organized in his honor at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Entitled "Baltic Sea - hope and threats", she saw various specialists intervene to evoke the Baltic in terms of commerce and politics, science and art, people and the environment. Dressed in a pink suit fuchsia, Queen Silvia was with her husband.

The royal couple had not come alone. The King and Queen of Sweden were escorted by their son Prince Carl Philip and their son in law Prince Consort Daniel. The two young dads were single, their wives, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Sofia, being one as the other on maternity leave. The first gave birth to Prince Oscar -the little brother of the princess Estelle- on March 2, the second to Prince Alexander, her first child, April 12.


However, this Tuesday, April 26, for the anniversary concert given in the chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Silvia was only to accompany her royal husband. She had chosen to wear a jacket for the occasion in gray and white tweed dress on the same gray.

For four days, Prince Alexander, the son of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife the Princess Sofia, is honored in Stockholm. Each day indeed was an event. And this Friday, April 22th, the new Baby Royal Court of Sweden gathered the royal family, as well as that of Sofia, at the chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm. As is tradition, there was a Te Deum celebrated on the occasion of his birth.

The hero of the day, the little prince Alexander was obviously absent, as was mom the beautiful princess Sofia. also were missing aunt Princess Madeleine, and her husband Christopher O'Neill, the latter living in London. Crown Princess Victoria came with her husband Prince Daniel but without her children, beaming alongside her younger brother, Prince Carl Philip, in her coat LK BENNETT with a new BAUM & PFERGARTEN dress skirt and top and ABRO clutch, her hair decorated with a big bow. Besides King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia in off-white suit, the Swedish royal family was represented by Princess Christina, one of the king's sister, and her husband Tord Magnuson, as well as the Countess Marianne Bernadotte and Dagmar von Arbin, nee Bernadotte. The first a former actress is the widow of Count Sigvard Bernadotte of Wisborg, one of the uncles of the sovereign. The second, who will celebrate its 100th anniversary, is a second cousin of the father of Carl XVI Gustaf.

On his maternal side, his grandparents Mary and Erik Hellqvist, his great grandmother Britt Rotman and  two aunts Lina and Sara attended the religious ceremony. Note the presence of Patrick Sommerlath, one of the nephews of Queen Silvia, and his wife Maline. The Swedish Royal Courts: Their Majesties both with the same royal engagement

Thursday April 7th, Her Queen Silvia of Sweden was under the sign of medicine. Like her husband King Carl XVI Gustaf!
