The British Royal Courts: When Two Queens meet

It was quite a royal meeting this March 17th at the ZSL London Zoo. The Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland found herself face to face with the Queen of the jungle. Elizabeth II was there to inaugurate the new enclosure of lions of Asia, on behalf of the Zoological Society of London its sponsors since 1952.

The sovereign, who had come with her husband Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, wore a pale blue coat coordinated to a hat with a large feather same tone. The royal couple was obviously not content to see these cats in their new "home." Elizabeth and Philip met with their guards and with the conservation team that watches over the breeding of these animals in captivity in order to safeguard their endangered species in its native environment. It remains in effect as 500 Asiatic lions in their natural habitat, the Gir Forest in western India.

The "Daily Mail" said that this new enclosure of lions in Asia, with an area of ​​2500 m2 -or five times larger qu'auparavant- is now the place to live for three lionesses -Rubi, 6, and Heidi and Indi binoculars, 5 years- who, born at London zoo, were gone on vacation at Whipsnade zoo in Bedfordshire, until the work is completed. They were joined by a male, Bhanu, arrived in February from the Assiniboine Zoo in Winnipeg, Canada. Two other lions from the Sakkarbaug zoo in Gujarat in India, should come and live with them in the near future. With the goal of new births to perpetuate this race which enjoys a European breeding program (EEP)

The British Royal Courts: Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip and The York at Sandringham

Whilst still staying at the residence in Sandringham in the Norfolk county this January, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip can count on every Sunday of the members of the royal family to accompany them to Mass. This January 24, it was the turn of Prince Andrew Duke of York and his youngest daughter Princess Eugenie.

After a break last week in the nearby village of Hillington, Queen Elizabeth II has returned to the path of Sandringham church for Sunday service. And while on January 17 it was in the company, in addition to her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, his nephew David Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley and wife of Irish origin Serena Stanhope, this Sunday it was alongside one of the couple children Prince Andrew Duke of York, one of her granddaughters, Princess Eugenie, she was photographed getting into her car. While her grandmother wore a royal pink coat powder like her white checkered hat, the younger daughter of Prince Andrew Duke of York, also present that day, wore a white coat and a purple bug.

Three days earlier, the sovereign, turquoise blue, had preferred his Range Rover to go as every year at this time at a meeting of the Sandringham section of WI(the British women's institute, largest organization of women in the United Kingdom), of which she is a member since 1943 ....

The British Royal Courts: The Royals at Sandringham

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were not expected to made an appearance alongside Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh on Sunday at the St. Mary Magdalene Church Sandringham, eastern England, to attend a ceremony in tribute to fallen soldiers during the Gallipoli Campaign. The conflict ended 100 years ago, on January 9, 1916. The couple came with friends and family

The Duchess of Cambridge wore American designer Michael Kors skirt suit, consisting of a black turtleneck sweater. She accessorized it all soberly, opting for  Aquatalia 'Rhumba' boots, Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch and Sylvia Fletcher 'Fairytale' hat

In addition to members of the royal family, the immediate entourage of The Duchess had been invited for the service. Her parents Michael and Carole Middleton were present, as well as her sister Pippa and brother James. Also present were one of the Princely couple's college mate, friends and God-Father to Prince George Oliver Parker and one of Princess Charlotte's God mother and close friend to the Duchess Sophie Carter.  They were probably in the region to celebrate the birthday of the Duchess, who celebrated her 34th birthday Saturday.
