Queen Elizabeth II is traveling. Accompanied by her husband Prince Philip, and her son Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the Sovereign is in Malta for the opening of the 24th Meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government
Even though Her Majesty Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has significantly reduced her travel abroad because of her age nevertheless she took part in this year Commonwealth Nations Head of States General Meeting. This Nov. 26, she headed to the island of Malta.
Welcomed at the airport by the Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, Elizabeth II, wearing a blue and white tweed coat -the same fabric as her hat- worn over a  two tones coordinated floral dress then joined the San Anton Palace. There, she participated with the President of the Republic of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, in the traditional welcoming ceremony. The latter was reserved for Elizabeth and Philip several gifts, including a small painting of the house where they lived in 1950, early in their marriage while the Monarch was not queen, she had in fact lived on the island at that time still a British colony, with Prince Philip who was stationed on several occasions between 1949 and 1951 as an officer in the Royal Navy.

In the evening, the royal couple was joined by their eldest son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, to a reception at San Anton Palace. The Queen had changed coat, displaying herself in ultramarine blue, while her daughter wore a green bottle lace dress and a short jacket noire.Rien to do with as much romantic nostalgic pilgrimage to the lands where it was bride. If the great-grandmother of the little prince George and Baby Charlotte decided to come to Malta at the end of November, it is for political reasons. Queen Elizabeth II is involved in this effect on November 27 at a summit until Sunday the heads of state of 53 States members of the Commonwealth she heads symbolically.

Accueilli à l'aéroport par le Premier ministre de Malte Joseph Muscat avec son mari le duc d'Edimbourg, Elizabeth II, vêtu d'un manteau de tweed bleu et blanc -le même tissu que son HAT porté sur un deux tons coordonnés robe à fleurs a ensuite rejoint le San Palais Anton. Là, elle a participé avec le Président de la République de Malte, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, à la cérémonie d'accueil traditionnelle. Ce dernier a été réservé à Elizabeth et Philip plusieurs cadeaux, y compris une petite peinture de la maison où ils vivaient, en 1950, au début de leur mariage tandis que le monarque était pas reine, elle avait en effet vécu sur l'île à ce moment-là encore une colonie britannique , avec le prince Philip qui était stationné à plusieurs reprises entre 1949 et 1951 comme officier dans la Royal Navy.

Dans la soirée, le couple royal a été rejoint par son fils aîné le prince Charles et son épouse Camilla, à une réception au Palais San Anton. La Reine avait changé manteau, se figurent en bleu outremer, tandis que sa fille portait une robe en dentelle de vert bouteille et une veste courte noire.Rien faire avec autant pèlerinage nostalgique romantique pour les terres où elle était mariée. Si la grand-mère du petit prince George et bébé Charlotte a décidé de venir à Malte à la fin de Novembre, il est pour des raisons politiques. La reine Elizabeth II est impliqué dans cet effet le 27 Novembre lors d'un sommet jusqu'à dimanche les chefs d'Etat des 53 États membres de la Communauté elle dirige symboliquement.
