The British Royal Court: The Story and Love between Queen Elizabeth II and her horse

Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II opened, accompanied by her husband Prince Philip, visited a new veterinary school in Guildford, Surrey in southern England. And then, surprise! Sovereign recognised Mary Tudor ... one of her old mares.

Wearing a turquoise blue coat with an original zigzag cutout on the front, on which she had pinned a brooch in the shape of flower and wearing a hat exactly the same tone quilted fabric flowers, Elizabeth II was all smile this October 15 in Guildford. Alongside her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, they inaugurated the new veterinary school of the University of Surrey took the opportunity to take a short tour of the premises.

During their tour, The royal couple past a room where students were training on the horse dummy and saw another living dog, walking on a treadmill for a demonstration of how technology can help animals.

Fascinated since her childhood by horses, Elizabeth did not fail to go to the stables. And to her great joy, she found one of her old mares. Called Mary Tudor, it lived 16 years in the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, before heading sink quiet days in a retirement home for horses.

On Monday October 12, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II  in the presence of her husband Prince Philip and his little son Prince Harry, received at her residence Buckingham Palace in London nearly 400 players, coaches, volunteers and officials who are taking part in at the World Cup Rugby being currently hosted in England.
"I think this World Cup, more than all the others before, has the potential to develop the game, both at home and abroad, inspiring children of all backgrounds, and encouraging men and women, whatever their age and ability, to try rugby, "said Prince Harry in his welcoming speech.

HRH Prince Harry of Wales paid a surprise to Kent where he toured the Duke of York’s Royal Military School and reviewed its ceremonial parade and award medals. Harry’s trip had been kept secret from the 400 or so pupils at the school and many of them got a chance to chat to the prince during the visit.

Whilst Princess Anne was in Gloucestershire visiting Cobalt Imaging and The Nelson Trust. The Nelson Trust was celebrating 30 years anniversary. The Princess Royal unveiled a plaque for the new house and was given a painted glass.
