Whilst a little bit down south in the city of The Hague, the Dutch Royal Family was attending Prinsjedag. King Willem-Alexandra, Queen Maxima, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien with also Former Queen now Princess Beatrix. Prinsjedag or Prince Day formely known as Budget Day is is the day on which the reigning monarch of the Netherlands addresses a joint session of the Dutch Senate and House of Representatives in the Ridderzaal or Hall of Knights in The Hague. The Speech from the Throne (Dutch: Troonrede) sets out the main features of government policy for the coming parliamentary session.
