The Belgian Royal Courts: Queen Mathilde's mission in Ethiopia

The Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in Ethiopia on Monday November 9th for a four-day trip.

The Belgian Queen visits the country in her capacity as Patron of UNICEF Belgium. Her Majesty will be visiting UNICEF projects related to the survival of young children. The mission focuses specifically on the objectives, which concerns the survival of the youngest in its fundamental dimensions: health, nutrition, drinking water and hygiène.
On arrival in Addis Ababa, Mathilde went to the "12 Yekatit" hospital in the capital Addis Ababa, she called a "center of excellence" for the treatment of young children in Ethiopia. She then met with the vice president of the mission Oromia.
During this trip she will also pay visit to the cities of Dire Dawa and also includes visits to projects in disadvantaged communities living in remote areas of Ethiopia. The Queen of the Belgians will also meet with victims of female genital mutilation.

According to the Palace this trip replaces the journey that had been scheduled in November 2014 in Burkina Faso, which was canceled due to the unrest that shook the country. This mission had already canceled a bearing on children's rights, an issue which, in the Palace, is important in the eyes of the Queen.



The Dutch Royal Courts (the Bourbon-Parme Household): Princess Viktoria of Bourbon-Parme is with child

The good news was disclosed on Monday, while participating in a demonstration with children in connection with Save The Chidren and Ikea stores. The Princess Viktoria of Bourbon-Parma is expecting her second child

While Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is pregnant with her second child for the month of March, another princess Viktoria -with k is also expecting a happy, little one for the Summer 2016. She lives in Rome with her husband, *Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parme married Viktoria in October 2013. The  Hungarian-born Dutch Princess is writer now former lawyer, gave birth February 21, 2014 to a girl named Carla Zita. The couple has been living in Rome since October 2013 as Prince Jaime is the ambassador of the Netherlands to the Holy seat but Viktoria continues to work in the Netherlands, including as patroness to the Dutch Save The Children. She was on November 9th, the day of the announcement of her new pregnancy in a primary school in Krimpen aan den Ijssel, town situated on the outskirts of Rotterdam. Koen Schnitker, a student of 11 years of this institution, is indeed one of the ten winners of the international contest of children's drawings from Ikea for the year 2015. It offers age of 12 to draw the teddy their dreams. The winners have their creature produced and marketed by the Swedish brand, which pays 1 euro each sale to benefit UNICEF and Save The Children.

* The Dutch Royal Household didnt announce this pregnancy as Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme and is linked to the royal family of the Netherlands but not in line to the Dutch Throne. He is in fact the third child of Princess Irene, sister of the former Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, and the Duke of Parma, Carlos Hugo. Due to Princess Irene marriage to a Catholic she converted from to a Catholic and therefore forfeited her rights and her descendants rights to the throne. It is therefore one of the cousins ​​of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
