The Romanian Royal Family: A meeting between Romanian President and Crown Princess Margareta

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Margaret Custodian of the Romanian Crown, met during on March 16th at Cotroceni Palace with His Excellency Mr. Klaus Werner Johannis, President of Romania.

The President once again conveyed best wishes to His Majesty King. Custodian of the Crown and the President reviewed the issues related to the Royal Family's public activity in the country and abroad. They discussed also issues related to cooperation between the Romanian authorities and State Crown, now and in the future.

The Romanian Royal Family: Crown Princess Margareta attend the Forbes women gala

On Thursday, March 17th at the Diplomat Hall of Athénée Palace was host to the 2016 Forbes Woman Gala. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Margareta, Custodian of Romanian Crown, received the title of "most influential woman in Romania".

Forbes Woman Gala encourages the last five years the most valuable female personalities to serve as a model throughout Romanian society.

The Romanian Royal House: HRH Princess Mary receive children

Tuesday March 1, 2016, Her Royal Highness Princess Mary received at the Elisabeta Palace, visit dependent child Concordia Humanitarian Organization. On this occasion, HRH children offered trinkets made by them.

They receive daily food, hygiene materials - health, welfare and medical services. Children and young people go to school and enjoy school activities: folk dance classes and ballroom dancing, karate and musical instruments.

Concordia Humanitarian Organisation is an independent, nongovernmental and non-profit active internationally, whose mission is to support families in difficulty and (re) integration of social (family, school, work) for children, youth and adults, to independent living and responsible.

For 25 years in Romania Concordia helped over 4,500 children and young people, and protects more than 500 children and young people in its homes and dwellings in Bucharest, Ploiesti and Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County.

In 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Mary took upon the High Patronage of Concordia Humanitarian Organization.

The Romanian Royal Courts: King Micheal health news

It was a shock to the royal world that His Majesty King Michael I of Romania has been diagnosed with leukemia and will withdraw from public life and hand over his responsibilities to his oldest daughter Crown Princess Margarita of Romania.

The Royal Council took note of the state of health of His Majesty and spokesman Andrew Popper said Wednesday the 94-year-old former king is recovering from recent surgery. He said the former monarch has "chronic leukemia" and a type of skin cancer.
His Majesty is a complex and demanding treatment, which prevents him from appearing in public, needing a recovery period.
