Queen Rania visited the ladies of Shemagh

The traditional hand finishing techniques of the Jordanian scarf, the red and white version of the keffiyeh, are perpetuated by their expert hands as part of the Hadab project, some forty women repeat the ancestral gestures transmitted from mother to daughter, shaping the white hem of these pieces of cloth which are folded in two, in a shawl on their shoulders. A task that requires several days of work each time.

Visiting this area on Monday, February 6th 2017, capital of Balqa province, Queen Rania of Jordan did not fail to devote time to these outstanding seamstresses. Her Majesty sat amongst them and even participated in hemming of a shemagh.

The meeting was part of a trip to Al-Salt on the theme of the empowerment of communities in relation to the tourism development of the Jordanian heritage and its culture. Several other meetings were schedule for the mother of four , who had chosen to dress for the occasion in a traditional outfit.

The Palace pointed out at the end of the day that Queen Rania told the women she met and the founders of the initiatives she was presented that she was "proud of their efforts to preserve Jordanian culture while Helping women to contribute to this process by working from home ". She added that "initiatives such as these strengthen the role of women in society and enable them to support their families."

Queen Rania's visit to the United States

In recent days, Queen Rania was in the United States. The 46-year-old woman accompanied her husband King Abdullah II of Jordan to Washington, where he began an official visit on Monday, January 30th 2017. He is the first Arab leader to meet with the new administration of US President Donald Trump.

At the Jordanian monarch's schedule, an interview with Vice President Mike Pence on issues of accelerating the fight against the Islamic state, the crisis in Syria and efforts to reach an agreement between Israelis and Palestinians, as well as Several meetings with members of Congress. A brief meeting with President Trump even took place on Thursday, February 2, 2017 on the occasion of the traditional National Prayer Breakfast, a prayer breakfast organized each year on the first Thursday in February by members of the US Congress And the Christian organization The Fellowship.


Queen Rania of Jordan was part of her husband's program. Very active on social networks, she did not fail to post several pictures of their American appointments.




And even two more clichés, more personal. The Jordanian royal couple had the good fortune to meet their eldest daughter Princess Iman in Washington . Two Days of meetings for Queen Rania of Jordan before her departure to Davos

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with the Lower House Education Committee at the Queen Rania Teacher Academy(QRTA) this Monday to discuss critical issues related to education reform. Among the topics included the importance of improving the teacher training and their techniques in raising the overall standing in education.

She attended and chaired the QRAEE (Queen Rania Award for Excellence in Education) Board of Trustees’ annual meeting, to discuss the association’s achievements and future plans.

The Queen who as always was effortless was seen in a Valentino Triangle print silk crepe de Chine blouse. The elegance of the Ballet Russes inspires Valentino’s graceful AW16 collection. During the metting many points were highlighted especially the importance of developing the association’s awards by widening appreciation for excellence and innovation, and encouraged plans to establish an award for excellence in early childhood education, and creating ongoing activities for the awardees.

Queen Rania meets with social media female activists

It was with female Jordanians that Queen Rania of Jordan resumed work for her 2017 agenda. But not just any Jordanian that she held talks with members of the Sayyidat Nashmiyyat group. The Jordanian Royal Courts: A Champion in encouraging Education

This Sunday, Queen Rania of Jordan was in Madaba, time for a visit to the German-Jordanian University in support of its advanced education.

All students spend a full year in Germany divided into a semester of study at a German university and a semester of training in a German industrial establishment.

The Jordanian Queen had chosen to go visit this public institution to support its advanced teaching initiatives and, in particular, its cooperation with Edraak, the first digital platform in the Arab world, for educational content. She was able to talk to teachers and students who benefit following a partnership between the university, the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and his own foundation, the Queen Rania Foundation.

The Monaco and Jordanian Royal Courts: The MET Gala and the Royals

The Jordanian Royal Courts: Queen Rania visited Lesbos

Queen Rania of Jordan visited the refugee camp Kara Tepe on the island of Lesbos.

"The responsibility for this crisis can not be defined by geography. And I think we need to bring humanity and compassion in the debate. Because in the end (...) it is not agreements but of human dignity in question, "she said. Rania has also called for "safer roads" for those wishing to visit Europe. "Many humanitarian organizations have expressed their deep concern about the EU-Turkey agreement (...) I think the serious concern is that many of the refugees will continue in desperation to seek safety and protection by seeking new routes yet more dangerous, and already we witness the expansion of alternative routes in Europe. So it is absolutely crucial for us to seek legal alternatives and safer roads (...) to Europe and the security zones "she said.
