The Swedish royal court: Price Carl and Princess Sofia are expecting

I had my suspicion that the prince royal couple was expecting a baby during their visit to Dalarna just a week ago and now it has been confirmed.

Yay for the House of Bernadotte for this double pregnancy first with the Announcement that Crown Princess Victoria is expecting her second child. Congrats to them

New picture released by the Swedish Court of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia as the couple have announced that they are expecting their first child in April of 2016.

No changes in the schedule of The Prince Couple’s public engagements are planned during the fall of 2015.

The Prince has expressed his joy at the announcement saying, “We are so happy and excited to announce that we are now expecting our first child. We are very excited.”

The Swedish Royal Court: Prince Carl and Princess Sofia at the Sports without Borders events

On Monday 12 October, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia were in Norrtälje to inaugurate Sports Without Borders to be introduced at Loons school and Grind school. (Sports Without Borders is a not-for-profit organisation which provides support for young people from new and emerging communities to overcome the barriers of participation in community sport.)

The Swedish Royal Court: Prince Nicolas' Baptism

Quite an eventful day yesterday Sunday October 11 at the Swedish Royal Family. As many including myself who watch the young Prince Nicolas of Sweden being christened at Drottningholm Palace Chapel at 12 noon(Swedish Time, 6 am Canada Eastern Time zone). Son of Princess Madeleine and Mr. Chris O'Neil he had a peaceful and angelic for a good majority of the service.

Also presence at the ceremony were his grandparents King Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Mrs. Eva O'Neil(paternal grandmother) His aunties and Uncle Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Sofia, Crown Prince Daniel , 3 year old Princess Estelle(maternal cousin) and his 2 year old elder sister Princess Leonore.

During the ceremony the young prince's monogram was release and the Order of the Seraphim today, which means he gets to wear this baby sash. Something which had me in all my emotions was when Princess Estelle (who had a mini chair similar to her parents sitting between them) surprised her parents and those who were watching realised her cousin Nicolas was inconsolable ran off and came back to hand Mr. Chris O'Neil with a pacifier.
