The Swedish Royal Courts: Prince Johann funeral

 Prince Johann Georg von Hohenzollern's funeral was held on March 12 in his native Germany. The religious service was held, privately at the Hedinger Sigmaringen church, in Baden-Württemberg town where stands the ancient castle of the princes of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia attended, alongside the Princess Birgitta.

A statement from the royal house, their son Prince Carl Philip, Princess Birgitta's godson, was also present, as were two other sisters of the sovereign Princesses Christina and Desiree who came with her husband Baron Nils August Silfverschiöld . The fourth sister of the King of Sweden, Princess Margaretha was in turn represented by his daughter Sybilla von Dincklage.

That same day, flags were flown at half mast on the Stockholm Royal Palace and Drottningholm Palace, while a public ceremony was held for the deceased in the Church of Riddarholmen, the necropolis of the Swedish monarchs.

Les funérailles du Prince Johann Georg von Hohenzollern  ont eu lieu le 12 Mars dans son Allemagne natale. Le service religieux a eu lieu, en privé, à l'église Hedinger Sigmaringen, dans la ville de Bade-Wurtemberg où se dresse l'ancien château des princes de Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. Le roi Carl XVI Gustaf et son épouse la reine Silvia ont assisté, etait aux côtés de la princesse Birgitta.
Une déclaration de la maison royale, leur fils, le prince Carl Philip, le filleul de la princesse Birgitta , était également présent, de même que deux autres sœurs du souverain les Princesses Christina et Desiree qui est venus avec son mari le Baron Nils Août Silfverschiöld. La quatrième sœur du roi de Suède, la princesse Margaretha a été à son tour représenté par sa fille Sybilla von Dincklage.
Ce même jour, les drapeaux ont été mis en berne sur le Palais royal de Stockholm et de Drottningholm, tandis qu'une cérémonie publique a eu lieu pour le défunt dans l'église de Riddarholmen, la nécropole des rois suédois.

The Swedish Royal Courts: The Palace announces the passing away of Prince Johann Georg von Hohenzollern

Just before the Romanian press release of King Micheal I health, The Swedish royal house Kungahuset did a press release that it was announced on Wednesday the passing away of Prince Johann Georg von Hohenzollern. The latter was the husband of the Princess Birgitta of Sweden. Second daughter of Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden and Sybille of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, this is one of the four older sisters of King Carl XVI Gustaf.
Stating that Prince Johann Georg von Hohenzollern, aged 83, died this March 2 in a Munich hospital after a brief illness, the statement said that on the occasion of the death of his brother-in-law, the sovereign issued the following statement: "I and my family have learned the sad news that the husband of the Princess Birgitta, Prince Johann Georg von Hohenzollern, has died.
