Si la sœur du roi des Belges Philippe était en Indonésie du 12 au 19 Mars, il a été par aucun des fins touristiques. Princesse Astrid a dirigé une mission économique dans cet archipel en Asie du Sud en mettant l'accent sur différents domaines: construction / infrastructure / logistique; / Soins pharmaceutiques de la santé; énergie; cleantech; aliments; maritime; industrie textile; TIC et Smart Cities. Concentré sur les deux villes de Jakarta et Bandung, il a mélangé avec des visites d'entreprises, des séminaires et des signatures de contrats pour les réunions et réceptions officielles.

Il est avec un grand sourire que l'archiduchesse d'Autriche-Este (son autre titre par le mariage au prince Lorenz), un collier de fleurs autour de son cou, a pris une pose sous un signe indiquant la direction de l'avenue Astrid (Astrid Jalan) dans le jardin botanique de Bogor, dans le sud de Jakarta.
