During the weekend His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal celebrate his 69th Birthday. HM was actually born on the 15th July 1946 but as for a last year, his birthday fell during the Holy Month of Ramandan. Other than this year his birthday is a public holiday.

HM celebrated his birthday during the weekend with not only his family but with over 4000 invitees. During the ceremony, HM enjoyed a parade, inspect guards of honor and attended an investiture and bestowed 16 medals to 16 people
