Her Majesty Queen Maxima attended the fifth anniversary of SchuldHulpMaatje Project in Leiden on February 17, 2016.
SchuldHulpMaatje helps people who are in financial difficulties or at risk of exclusion. The helpers are professionally trained volunteers who provide people with personal guidance in debt and aftercare following a debt settlement program. Attention is also paid to deliberately financial behavior and self-reliance. The volunteers do not take over the work of professionals, but do work closely with the social services and social organizations.
